About the Illustrations

Paula and Matthew used construction paper, Exacto knives and glue to make these detailed and intricate images.  Each image took about three hours to complete.  Each text box was custom created and measured to fit the typeset text.  Take a look at the detail for Eva's head of curls, the book case full of books, and the bathtub of bubbles. Much of the work was completed on a farm table where just a hint of wind could blow pieces everywhere - making for a fun game of seek and find!
